Héctor Gallo

Héctor Gallo holds a degree in Sociology from the Universidad Autónoma Latinoamericana (Medellín, Colombia) and a degree in Psychology from the University of Antioquia (Medellín). He holds a postgraduate Diploma in Psychoanalysis and Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Psychoanalysis, both from Paris VIII University, France.

PhD cum laude from the Faculty of Biological and Health Psychology, Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain

Senior Professor in the Department of Psychoanalysis at the University of Antioquia. Researcher with the ‘Psychoanalysis, Subject and Society’ group, attached to the Department of Psychoanalysis.

Member Analyst (AME) of the World Association of Psychoanalysts (WAP) and of the Nueva Escuela Lacaniana del Campo Freudiano (NELcf) in Medellín.

Among other works, he has published: Locura crimen y subjetividad. Lo que dice el psicoanálisis (Medellín, 2019) y Por qué se suicida un adolescente. Pasaje al acto, Urgencia y Acto (Buenos Aires, 2021).
